Q. What is the difference between an English Speaking Driver and English Speaking Guide?
A. Many of our clients ask about
this distinction. An English speaking driver will be able to provide you a good amount of information regarding your destination,
make suggestions and ensure you have a great day, but they are not licensed or permitted to accompany you inside museums, churches
or other monuments and provide guiding services.
While qualifications for guides vary throughout the world, licensed guides
have attained a degree of certification, which allows them to provide full guiding services. If your program entails extensive
visits, a licensed guide can be invaluable in bringing a destination alive.
Transfer Chauffeur
No commentary should be expected
and your driver may only speak limited English - sufficient to provide the meet, assist and transfer services.
English Speaking
Driver
They are knowledgeable about the destination so that they can provide commentary in English during the driving portions of
your tour. A driver does not provide walking tours or tours inside historical sights or museums. This is generally the
least expensive option.
Tour Escort
This a trained escort who can provide commentary during the driving portions of your tour
and can join you on foot and can provide commentary, but are not licensed to provide guide services inside historical sights or museums. This is a moderately priced option.
Licensed Guide
While qualifications for guides vary throughout the world, licensed guides
have attained a degree of certification, which allows them to provide full guiding services providing commentary in the vehicle, outside
and inside historical sights and museums. In many countries a licensed guide must carry their license badge whenever they are
offering their services.
If your program entails extensive visits, a licensed guide can be invaluable in bringing a destination
alive. This is typically the most expensive option, but provides the highest degree of service.
Other Languages
Drivers, Escorts and Guides are available in languages other than English. Please advise your requirements. Rates may vary by language.

an upgraded vehicle, please advice.

exist must prioritize their use to medical services. However when available we will try to confirm such vehicles when the need
exists. These typically will accommodate one wheelchair and a limited number of other guests. If you are able to
move into and out of a minivan or sedan and have a collapsible wheelchair, it is often the better choice to use these vehicle types
to move around. Note that your guide or driver is not responsible for the pushing of wheelchairs.
